Ministry

At East Park, we believe that every member has something to contribute which benefits the entire body and that every member is a minister of Jesus Christ (1 Cor.12.1-7; 1 Pet.4.10). Spiritual gifts and abilities differ and so do the opportunities for service. Our ministries are focused on the two areas of outreach and discipleship.

Adult Sunday School

There are currently three adult classes each studying different topics. The Berean Class is studying through the Gospel of Luke. The Maranatha Class is studying about sanctification as they work through “Changed into His Image” and the Timothian Class is studying through the book of Exodus.

Sunday School Fellowship

The first Sunday of the month typically finds us edifying and encouraging each other at an informal breakfast hosted by a different Sunday School class. The breakfast fellowship is from 9:00-9:25 a.m.

Children

We have age graded Sunday School classes for those nursery age through 6th grade.

Daniel’s Band—A children’s program on Wednesday nights for ages 3-6th grade. The children learn Bible lessons that will help them stand for God as did Daniel and his friends.

Children’s Church—During the morning worship service children ages 3-6th grade have the opportunity to learn at their level. Our children’s church is designed to edify, not merely entertain.

Teens

Our teen ministries include summer camp for junior and senior high, mission trips, youth conferences, monthly teen activities, service opportunities, and Wednesday night teen meetings.

College & Career (age 18-32)

Those who have graduated from high school and are in college or working a job find this class fits their position in life. The College & Career class seeks both discipleship and service.

Men’s Bible Study

Through Bible study and accountability, this group which meets twice a month seeks to help men be the godly leaders they are called to be. Our current topic of study is “Spiritual Leadership” by Oswald Sanders.

Music

Music is an important part of our church and those with abilities can participate in the choir, special music, or join our developing orchestra.

Outreach

Each year we engage in various types of outreach to broadcast the gospel of Christ. Mission trips, Vacation Bible School, community picnics, and local canvassing are some of the ways we are trying to reach our city and world with the gospel.

Visitation

Every Christian should be involved in some aspect of gospel outreach, and our visitation program makes this possible.
